Reducing O&M turnover
Turnover among Operations & Maintenance personnel can adversely affect the efficiency, safety and costs of running an installation. To help oil & gas companies improve staff loyalty and increase their skill levels and career plans, SPIE Oil & Gas Services has developed a proprietary methodology.
We took our knowledge of the oil & gas industry and combined it with our experience in O&M and industrial training. In particular, SPIE Oil & Gas Services has extensive experience in implementing assessment campaigns and training projects as part of our commissioning and operations activities.
This expertise enabled us to create OPERTRAIN, a special tool that provides a fair, accurate and factual assessment of individual employees. It identifies specific training requirements and optimizes training costs. OPERTRAIN looks at five main areas of assessment:
- Theoretical and technical knowledge;
- Knowledge of the facilities;
- Operation of the facilities;
- Knowledge and application of organization procedures;
- Potential, behavior and aptitude to learn (optional).
OPERTRAIN gives you a clearer picture of your employees and their abilities, behaviors, work habits and knowledge. It guarantees a factual and unbiased assessment by different personnel against set performance criteria. By quantifying employee capabilities, employees have a clearer understanding of their qualification level and their career path in the organization.
