Offshore facilities Commissioning – HHI - Korea
Korea - 2012-2014
OFON Field is an Oil and Natural Gas field located in the Oil Mining Lease (OML) 102, about 65km offshore in the south-eastern coast of Nigeria. The wells lie at a water depth of 40m (131ft).TOTAL has started the Phase 2 of its OFON field development project offshore Nigeria, the company announced 7 February 2012. It is expected to come on stream in 2014.
OFON Phase 2 will unlock the field’s undeveloped reserves to increase production to 90,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day from 30,000 barrels, by installing 5 new platforms: 3 drilling platforms, a processing platform and an accommodation platform for 124 people. The construction and the modules fabrication / integration of the new processing platform are managed in Hyundai Heavy Industry (HHI) Offshore yard in Ulsan, South Korea.
In August 2012, SPIE Oil & Gas Services had been awarded the final preparation of pre-commissioning & supervision of the commissioning execution of the processing platform (Topsides) for the duration of approximately 10 months, with extension of another 6 months for offshore commissioning.
SPIE Oil & Gas Services dedicated team consisted of Commissioning Manager, ICAPS/Methods Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Instrument Engineer, Mechanical Engineer and Piping Engineer work in HHI yard in Ulsan. The commissioning of offshore work is scheduled to be completed in 2014.
